Anti-tank guided missile ‘Helena’
Swadeshi helicopter anti-tank guided missile ‘Helena’ is the most advanced anti-tank system that successfully flew from Army helicopter in Pokhran on August 19, 2018. This system is one of the most advanced anti-tank weapons in the world, whose entire range has been tested. ‘Helena’ has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Helena is a helicopter launch version of the missile serial missile and its range is 7 to 8 km. Helena missile is capable of destroying the ground targets accurately and can also target its target at night.
BVR (Beyond-Visual-range missile)
It is an air-to-air missile capable of destroying and destroying targets of up to 37 km in the air. This missile can go beyond the scenes and find its target in the range of 37 km and be able to die. It has developed indigenously by DRDO which was successfully tested by the Indian Air Force on SU-30 aircraft on September 26, 2018.
Prithvi interceptor missile
It is an indigenous, two-layer ballistic missile defense system (anti-ballistic missile), capable of destroying a ballistic missile sent by ambush to the enemy in the atmosphere. The successful test of Prithvi Interceptor was done on 23 September 2018 from Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha.
Short-range ballistic missile
Its test INS Arihant, India’s first ballistic missile submarine, was launched for the first time on K-15 (B-05) short-range ballistic missiles from Visakhapatnam coast on August 12, 2018.
Agni-V is an intercontinental ballistic missile developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Agni-V is the most advanced part of the Fire series, which has been developed by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul flew successfully from Kalam Island on June 3, 2018. The range of Agni-V ranges from 5,500 to 5,800 km and it also has full Pakistan and China.
A man-portable anti-tank guided missile
On 15th and 16th September 2018, Ahmadnagar Test Range of Maharashtra DRDO successfully tested the man-portable anti-tank guided missile. This missile has two tests, including the maximum capability for different categories. This missile is capable of destroying enemy tanks and destroying them.
Brahmos is a mid-range type of supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from ships, aircraft, submarines, and earth. It is the world’s fastest missile. Brahmos has been developed jointly by India and Russia. Its name is ‘Bramhos’, the name of the Brahmaputra river of India and the Mesqua river of Russia.
Recently, DRDO successfully fired in the form of Flight Extension Test of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from the Integrated Weather Range (ITR) on July 16, 2018.
